A former Menem official and promoter of State reform is appointed as director of Banco Nación

The Government appointed the engineer Armando Guibert as one of the directors of Banco Nacióna position that he will assume, as published in the Official Gazette, in a manner “ ad honorem“.

Guibert was an official during the presidency of Carlos Menem and currently works as Secretary of State Transformation and Public Function of the Chief of Staff. Despite his new responsibility on the board of the country’s largest bankwill continue to perform his current functions.

Decree 146/2024, published this Friday in the Official Gazette, establishes the appointment of Guibert as director of the Banco de la Nación for a legal period, without affecting his responsibilities as Secretary of State Transformation and Public Function.

Milei’s support for Guibert

It should be noted that the president Javier Milei provides strong support for Guibert, mentioning that this engineer was in charge of the reform of the State during the Government of Carlos Menem. The new director of Banco Nación also actively participates in the technical teams of La Libertad Avanza, led by the economist Federico Sturzenegger.
