This Friday the INDEC will release the CPI for March, while private measurements maintain that food inflation in the second week of April slowed down compared to the previous week.
According to the consulting firm LGC, Food inflation slowed 0.2 pp compared to the previous week in the second week of April. However, the increase averages 6.2% in the last 4 weeks and 2.1% end to end in the same period. So far this month, inflation has accumulated 0.6%.

The weekly slowdown is explained by the drop in 6 categories, especially Bread products that subtracted 0.3 pp. Dairyfor its part, pulls the rise (+0.57 pp).


The percentage of products with weekly increases remained unchanged. However 25% of the products adjust once a week on average implies that the entire basket does so in less than a month, reported the same survey.
At the same time, for the fifth consecutive week, average monthly inflation and the measure tip to tip they fell, with 3 of the 10 categories above average inflation, Meat and Dairy explained 54% of the monthly inflation.
