The CNV seeks to expand foreign investments in the local market

CNV authorities participated in a discussion on the opening of the Argentine capital market to foreign companies.

In search of attracting more capital from abroad to the local market, the National Securities Commission (CNV) participated this Tuesday in a talk on the Opening of the Argentine capital market to foreign companiesorganized by the Finance Group of the Argentine Canadian Chamber of Commerce. He did so through the presentation of his director, Sonia Salvatierra.

The dialogue was moderated by María Angélica Grisolia, partner of the Zang Bergel & Viñes Abogados firm, host of the event, and also included presentations by the technical manager of the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange, Roberto Chiaramoni, and economist José Siaba Serrate.

Salvatierra explained the scope of regulations such as those relating to Special regime for double listing of foreign companiesthe public offering regime and the instruments available in the capital market for the regularization of assets, as stipulated in the regulations of the bleach.

Another of the topics addressed was the Incentive Regime for Large Investors (RIGI) as a tool for channeling new investments in the country with great potential.

In the presence of representatives from several Canadian companies and those who followed the event via Zoom, the director of the CNV highlighted the work that has been carried out with the different market players through public consultations.

“This directory is for speed up the procedures and make life easier for those under administration, which is why the General Resolutions are being worked on in person with the aim of improving the regulations of the capital market,” said Salvatierra.
