The story of Lara and Roger Griffiths, from making millions to ending up broke
At first, everything was going swimmingly. Parties, vacations, car, house, luxuriesBut that standard of living was unsustainable. In addition, Roger reportedly began spending large sums of money on maintaining a parallel relationship with an aspiring singer. He also invested in a beauty salon that turned out to be a financial failure.
Lara, for her part, was plunged into a whirlwind of compulsive shopping. Finally, in 2010, the inevitable happened: they ended up broke. The trigger was the mansion fire and not having insurance to cover the loss. Shortly afterwards, after discovering Roger’s infidelity, they separated and live on much more modest budgets than in their heyday.
