Dow Argentina announced the closure of the polyols and derivatives plant located in Puerto General San Martín, province of Santa Fe. Through a statement, Dow confirmed this Friday the cessation of the operation and the number of employees who lost their jobs due to the decision, which they explained ”it has nothing to do with the current context of Argentina or the Province of Santa Fe in particular”. And they added: ”The San Lorenzo production unit was operating at low utilization rates as a result of the marked and constant decline in demand for Polyurethanes around the world. Over the past year, the company has also ceased operations at such factories in North America, Europe and Asia.”
