The Albanesi Group launched the open cycle of Arroyo Seco Cogeneration Plantlocated in the south of the province of Santa Fe.
It is the leading group in the energy sector with a solid presence in Argentina and recent landing in Peru through the operation of 10 thermal power plants.
This new plant was built with the latest generation technology, and involved an investment of US$165 million. With the beginning of the first stage, the plant has an installed power of 100 MW that will be injected into the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI)through the two gas turbines Siemens SGT-800.
By early 2025, An additional 30 MW will be added and it will generate 180 tons per hour of steam for the industry through a boiler. The steam resulting from the operation will be destined for the Louis Dreyfus Company industrial complex, thus optimizing its production process. This is an initiative that is closely linked to the role that the company wants to play in the energy transition process, building and expanding the capacity of its plants, and transforming them into more efficient energy.
This methodology was applied in the Ezeiza Thermal Power Plant, where this year Albanesi completed the cycle closing work and doubled the installed power, by taking it from 150 MW to 300 MWwith direct impact on 200,000 homes.
A similar process is being experienced Modesto Maranzana thermal power plant, located in Río Cuarto, Córdoba. In this plant, the largest that the group has in the country, it is expanding the capacity to take it from 350 MW to 475 MW, and in a very short time the cycle closure will also be completed, where 50 MW have already been enabled. , so its current capacity amounts to 400 MW.
