The Albanesi Group launched the Arroyo Seco Cogeneration Plant in Santa Fe

The Albanesi Group launched the open cycle of Arroyo Seco Cogeneration Plantlocated in the south of the province of Santa Fe.

It is the leading group in the energy sector with a solid presence in Argentina and recent landing in Peru through the operation of 10 thermal power plants.

This new plant was built with the latest generation technology, and involved an investment of US$165 million. With the beginning of the first stage, the plant has an installed power of 100 MW that will be injected into the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI)through the two gas turbines Siemens SGT-800.

By early 2025, An additional 30 MW will be added and it will generate 180 tons per hour of steam for the industry through a boiler. The steam resulting from the operation will be destined for the Louis Dreyfus Company industrial complex, thus optimizing its production process. In addition, the Albanesi Group invested in the construction of a transformer substation, whose infrastructure It is transferred to the provincial energy company (EPE).

President of Grupo Albanesi: “I feel deep pride in the work done”

For his part, the president of the Albanesi Group, Armando Loson (h.), stated: “As President of the company and of Rosario origin, I feel deep pride in the work done. We are launching the second cogeneration plant in the province where the Albanesi Group was born. And we do it with a plant that will produce energy efficiently and will provide a significant improvement to the electrical infrastructure of the province.”

He also added: “We want to be protagonists of the energy transition process, and that is why We have invested more than US$ 2,000 million since 2004which allow us to expand the offer through efficient generation, and position ourselves as the company with one of the most modern electricity generation parks in the country.”

The Albanesi group has invested more than US$2 billion since 2004.

Present at the opening ceremony were the governor of the province of Santa Fe, Maximilian Pullarothe vice governor of the province, Gisela ScagliaThe Minister of Production of the province, Gustavo Puccinianothe Secretary of Energy, Veronica Geesethe Mayor of Arroyo Seco, Daniel Tonelli and the Communal President of General Lagos, Esteban Ferri, among other provincial and municipal authorities.

This project It is part of an investment plan for US$600 million that Albanesi began to execute in recent years for the construction of 405 MW, which represent 25% of its total generation capacity.

This is an initiative that is closely linked to the role that the company wants to play in the energy transition process, building and expanding the capacity of its plants, and transforming them into more efficient energy.

This methodology was applied in the Ezeiza Thermal Power Plant, where this year Albanesi completed the cycle closing work and doubled the installed power, by taking it from 150 MW to 300 MWwith direct impact on 200,000 homes.

A similar process is being experienced Modesto Maranzana thermal power plant, located in Río Cuarto, Córdoba. In this plant, the largest that the group has in the country, it is expanding the capacity to take it from 350 MW to 475 MW, and in a very short time the cycle closure will also be completed, where 50 MW have already been enabled. , so its current capacity amounts to 400 MW.
