This is the second clean energy plant to be put into operation in the province. It will have a power of 15 MW.

In the midst of a context of profound retraction of public investment, and with the horizon of power cuts for the summer throughout the country, The call for tender was launched for the construction and operation of the second photovoltaic park in the province, in the Energy and Productive Supply Pole of General Pico, in the province of La Pampa.

This is the second clean energy plant to be put into operation after the installation inaugurated at the beginning of the year in Victorica, which is already fully operational with proven results.

According to what they said in the province, the new project represents the decision to transform the energy matrix with a more sustainable modelinjecting resources and at the same time promoting and stimulating the arrival of investments, with a profitable business model that contributes to local economic development. At the same time, they highlighted that this is a significant step towards coordination between the State and the private sector.

The tender seeks the construction, connection and operation of a solar park that It will have a power of 15 MWrepresenting the first stage of the 50 MW. The new park is expected to generate 36,545.86 MWh annually, enough to supply approximately 9,000 homes.

How is the tender

The call is made through Pampetrol Tender N1/2024 and foresees a strong public-private investment. The energy generated will be marketed in the Local Electrical Energy Market (MLEE), which was put into operation with the Victorica Photovoltaic Solar Park. This implies that the energy will be acquired by the Provincial Energy Administration (APE) within the framework of a supply contract entered into between the local distributor and Pampetrol.

In this way, the new plant will be connected to the national system but the contract and payment scheme is 100% provincial. The sources consulted maintain that the competitive advantages are great, since The investor will have a 15-year contract with the government of La Pampa which, through the APE, purchases all of the energy generated and pays for it. At the same time, they highlighted that “APE La Pampa is up to date with the distributor Cammesa and has never had a delay in the payment of its invoices in its history, which added to the fact that La Pampa is the only province in Argentina that does not have debt. “Something highlights the fiscal order that has been a state policy in the province for years.”

When consulted, Governor Sergio Ziliotto stressed that “the development of La Pampa goes through the coordination between the public sector and the private sector”, highlighting that the provincial government offers a favorable environment for productive investment. The implementation of this solar park is supported by the Tax Incentives Law, which encourages investment in the sector by providing benefits and legal security to investors, generating a framework conducive to local economic growth.
