What was the robbery at Casa Rosada like in 2007?
On August 30, 2007, a still unknown thief, or group of thieves, entered the Casa Rosada museum and surreptitiously took valuable items and they walked out the door without alarming anyone. An employee of the place noticed the theft while doing the last guided tour and was surprised by the missing certain elements.
It was a clock which had belonged to President Nicolás Avellaneda, displayed in a glass case and protected by an acrylic dome, a clock by Agustín Pedro Justo and a pen of Roberto Ortiz, also former presidents.
Although these objects have high market value, their historical value is even higher.
