Tom Holland is in talks to join the cast of the next movie Christopher Nolan. If the deal goes through, the Spider-Man actor would star alongside Matt Damon the movie. Nolan is writing and directing the film, which Universal Pictures will be released in theaters on July 17, 2026.

The upcoming film, which is untitled, is expected to begin filming in early 2025, although Holland’s casting could prove a challenge to production schedules. The actor, best known for playing Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universewill be busy with Spider-Man 4 and potentially the next sequel to avengers during the next year.


Christopher Nolan’s success with Universal
This project reunites Nolan with the studio that backed his hit historical drama Oppenheimerwhich won the Oscar for best picture (and six other awards) and grossed $975 million at the global box office. The three-hour, R-rated period film was Nolan’s first time working with Universal, and in doing so, the director broke a nearly two-decade creative partnership with Warner Bros.the company that has backed many of their biggest box office hits, including the trilogy of Batman: The Dark Knight, Inception and Dunkirk.
Oppenheimer features a wealth of Hollywood talent, including but not limited to, Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, Damon, Florence Pugh, Rami Malek and Josh Hartnett. Therefore, it is safe to assume that soon a group of renowned actors and actresses will join Damon and Holland in this upcoming film.
