The Government announced the privatization of the line Belgrano Loads trains. This was confirmed this Wednesday by presidential spokesperson Manuel Adorni in a wheel special press at Casa Rosada.
“As a result of the law, the state company will be privatized Belgrano Cargas y Logística SA, in what will be the first privatization of a railway company since the inauguration of Javier Milei“said Adorni. The Government also assured that, during 2023, the state company received US$112 million.
The first railway privatization of the Milei era
After several minutes of delay, Adorni went out to his usual press conference to announce the privatization of the state company Belgrano Cargas y Logística SA. The official defined this measure as the “first privatization of one railway company since the assumption of Javier Milei”.

Then, Adorni gave his place to Diego Chaher, head of the Agency for the Transformation of Public Companies, who was in charge of providing details about the privatization.
“Today we began the privatization process of the state company Belgrano Carga y Logística, a public limited company,” announced Chaher, who then detailed: “The company operates three railway lines that cover a total of 7,600 kilometers. For each of the three lines we are going to implement seven differentiated concession processes. The privatization of the Government that affects ARSAT
The Government announced the privatization of the 100 megahertz of spectrum that the State had reserved for ARSAT and the 50 corresponding to Enacom. They also confirmed that paper newspapers and magazines plus those that have subscribers in their digital version will pay Value Added Tax (VAT).
As usual, the privatization measure was announced at a press conference by the presidential spokesperson this Monday. During his speech, the official assured that both companies “will be used for 5G service“.

Regarding the concession process, Adorni detailed: “The Government is going to make available the 100 megahertz of spectrum that the State reserved for ARSAT for mobile communications and is not using. In addition, the 50 megahertz that is in the hands of Enacom “.
