Leonardo Cositorto spoke from prison: “I am not going to plead guilty to something I did not do”

The leader of Generation Zoe, Leonardo Cositorto, who is accused of committing a pyramid scam on thousands of people, broke the silence from the prison where he has been detained for almost three years and assured that: “I’m not going to plead guilty to something I didn’t do.”

In dialogue with C5NCositorto claimed his innocence, affirmed that his businesses are legal and stated: “We came here for a trial which is obviously not being carried out in a timely manner and what happened on the other side has been quite a strategy. They presented a witness saying that there was a scam. Well, there is no scam here, that is a lie. What there is is a lot of pressure from all sides and media defamation from the first day they took us all into preventive detention.”

Then, he lamented his stay in prison: “After 32 months we are still imprisoned while some great cases are free and ours is still here. “We are talking a little more than 200 thousand dollars, however they continue in the media talking about millions of dollars.”.

Cositorto explained what his businesses are like

In addition, the leader of Generation Zoe spoke about his businesses: “We are talking about a trust that was signed by people for three years, so we are clear. They signed the agreement and so did we on this side.”

And he expanded: “What happened next? An order came, I don’t know from who, where they say that they don’t approve the agreement.. Obviously people want to recover what they had paid into the trust for membership and the courses provided. What happens is that the media comes out throwing loose data and we don’t understand if we mix the thing about the San Pedro China, which could be something pyramidal, I don’t know, with a trust approved by the IGJ with laundered bank accounts”.

Cositorto and the money to pay the economic agreement with the complainants

In another passage of the interview, he talked about his finances: “All the goods inhibited us. I could have sold a property and there is also money in the banks. Since they talk so much about economics and finance, here there were 5 million pesos in the name of a person who was in charge, almost three years have passed, we had 500% inflation, imagine what happened, well there is not a single peso.”

And he continued: “Is this the Justice that is going to teach us and judge us if we are good administrators?” My aunt can lend me the money, it doesn’t matter… we don’t just work here. The company has been working worldwide for years.”

At the end, Cositorto stated: ““I’m not going to plead guilty for something I didn’t do, I can take responsibility and contribute the money and I can recognize an agreement,” and concluded: “If they want to extort me so that I bring the corrupt power to my knees, they are going to find themselves up against a wall. They can hit me but they are not going to turn me over.”
