At the beginning of this year, before the United States Securities Commission (SEC, by its initials in English) will approve the listing of the first funds of Bitcoin, The crypto asset industry never imagined that this would be a historic year.

Several events will put 2024 as a watershed: the green light from the SEC allowing the listing of Bitcoin ETFs on the New York Stock Exchange and, months later, the permission to operate options in that same market to allow hedging. The path of lowering rates initiated by the Federal Reserve in September also opens the door for capital to flow again to the technological world.

In this unbeatable context for the world of crypto assets, Binance, the largest crypto exchange in the world, will host a global conference in Dubai to disseminate the latest advances in what, in the technology sector, everyone calls Web3. Enthusiasts assure that this is a new era of the Internet, in which decentralization enabled by blockchain will allow the world of finance to be streamlined with transaction solutions on a global scale, in seconds and with high standards of security and privacy for users.

The agenda includes a series of conversations and presentations by industry leaders, such as Richard Teng, CEO of Binance; Christian Rau, vice president Crypto and Fintech Enablement at Mastercard; Serge Kuzmin, Head of Financial Services at Google; Nikhil Rolla, Head of Vertical, App & Fintech at TikTok, among many other experts. There will also be space for innovation and projects in the seed stage, which require not only investments but also platforms that allow the new uses of blockchain to be disseminated.

The topics cover all blockchain applications, beyond financial assets in particular: tokenization, regulations, gaming, technological infrastructure, decentralized finance, among many others.

One of the highlights of the conference will take place on October 31, when Jeremy Allaire, CEO of Cicle (the company that issues the USDC stablecoin), and Jessica Walker, Global Media and Content Lead of Binance, discuss the future of currencies digital.

This discussion is fundamental for the current and future economy. In fact, both the United States Federal Reserve, the European Central Bank, and the Bank of England are currently in the analysis phase of the implementation of the digital version of the dollar, the euro and the pound.

While traditional institutions seek to bring fiat money into a digital age, the industry is already thinking about its uses for the coming decades.
