He also highlighted that “the measure prioritizes the teaching role over the classroom, which is where learning occurs.”

“This also has to do with a plan that we have established with the National Government to guarantee that this time and this financing has continuity and is sustainable,” he added.

At the same time, Goity assured: “We want to strengthen, reinforce and enhance the primary school in the province of Santa Fe, but for that we have to work on the basis of serious, consistent planning and above all that is sustainable over time.”

How the new regime will be implemented

This new regime guarantees the expansion of the school day at 25 hours per week (45 minutes more per day) for public educational centers under official management and those under official private management.

This decision will benefit 382,318 students and, consequently, the 13,291 first-grade teachers throughout the province will be able to access an increase in their income that, for a teacher with 15% seniority, It will represent an increase of 84,522.22 pesos, while for a teacher with 15% seniority, it will represent an increase of 84,522.22 pesos, a teacher with 120% seniority will mean a sum of $149,639.27 pesos.

During the current cycle, the measure will be optional for the students’ families, prioritizing those who need to reinforce knowledge and recover learning.
