The Democratic candidate suffered a severe setback last night when she lost in the presidential election against the former president. Despite not achieving the goal, he thanked the citizens for their support. “I am proud of the campaign we ran. We had a very clear intention about how to unite people of all types of professions and backgrounds, for our country, for the US fight. We did it knowing that we all have much more in common than what separates us,” he said.

“My heart is filled with gratitude for the trust you have placed in me, filled with love for our country,” Harris continued to a crowd at the Howard University, in Washington DC. “The result of the election is not what we wanted and what we fought and voted for“, he acknowledged but made it clear that we must continue fighting for those objectives: “Listen to me well. The light of the promise of that USA will always shine brightly if we never give up and keep fighting“.

When speaking to the young people, he told them that “It’s okay to feel sad and disappointed” but he assured that “everything is going to be fine”. “Sometimes the fight is delayed. That does not mean that we are not going to win,” he continued and stressed that “the important thing is to never give up and stop trying to make the world a better place. You have that power. For the benefit of all of us I hope that is not the case. If so, we must fill the sky with the light of billions of bright stars, the light of optimism, faith, truth and service,” he concluded.
