Justice ratified the victory of Miguel Fernández in the Buenos Aires UCR

This Friday, Justice ratified the victory of Miguel Fernandez in the elections of the Radical Civic Union (UCR) of the province of Buenos Aires and, in this way, consecrated the sector of Maximiliano Abadas opposed to that of the national head of the party, Martin Lousteau.

Through a ruling, the judge Alejo Ramos Padilla rejected the challenge driven by the list that Pablo Domenichini had as a candidate, who had the support of Lousteau and the brothers Gastón and Facundo Manes, putting an end to a dispute that lasted more than a month.

However, the magistrate declared the nullity of 14 polling stations in Quilmes, 8 in La Matanza and 6 in Ezeiza, ordering a complementary election to be held. In any case, if progress was made in that direction, the number of votes would not be enough to reverse the results in Buenos Aires territory.

The representatives of list 15, which led Domechini, alleged that the Provincial Electoral Board acted in an arbitrary and partial manner, favoring the scheme of Fernández, former mayor of Trenque Lauquen.

From the other trench, they claimed the results as valid and affirmed that the challenges in List 15 did not meet the formal requirements. When asked by Ámbito, Fernández himself evaluated: “Logically, the ruling gives us peace of mind that everything we said was true. The operative part is categorical.”

Quickly, to leave no room for doubt, different people around him came out to celebrate the court’s decision. “LThe Electoral Justice validated the internal process of the UCR Buenos Aires. Congratulations, Miguel Fernández,” celebrated national senator Maximiliano Abad.

Then he posted on Twitter: “Justice ratified the triumph of #UnidadRadical in the internal elections! It won the strength and commitment of radicalism. This result reinforces our path and encourages us to continue working with conviction. Forward Radicals!”

The electoral justice did not allow the appeal for annulment against resolution 71/2024 of the UCR Electoral Board, and in this way the electoral victory of list 23 is validated.” Radical Unity'”.

In this way, the national leadership of the centenary party, led by Martín Lousteau, suffered a setback in the most important district in the country. In fact, the economist finds it difficult to find a foothold among the five white beret governors, the main shareholders of the space today.

At the same time as this struggle, the bloc fractured in the Chamber of Deputies, with the escape of 13 legislators. 12 of them formed the space “Democracy Forever”, with Mariano Juliano in front, while Mario Barletta formed the “Unidos” monoblock.
