Today the second delivery of Dengue repellents prepared by the UBA began, in Houssay Square. The measure is part of the prevention campaign against the disease, under the program UBA in Action, which already delivered more than 400 on its first day on Thursday.

The first repellents produced by the UBA were delivered
With a large concentration of people in Plaza Houssay, the UBA carried out its first day of delivering dengue repellents, made in-house. Between 400 and 500 repellents were delivered, both to those registered online and to those who came spontaneously.
The same ones are prepared jointly by the faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy and Biochemistryunder the initiative to raise awareness and prevent dengue in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA).
As part of the program UBA in Actionthe distribution of 5,000 units of repellent and each one has a concentration of 7.5% of DEET, an active component effective against the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which transmits dengue.
