At the Federico Lacroze Station, the Urquiza Line concession company exhibits photographs, historical objects and the oldest steam locomotive in South America.
As part of its 30th anniversary, Metrovías presents the historical exhibition Traveling in Time at the Federico Lacroze station, where through photographs and objects, it traces the history of the Urquiza Line since its inauguration, more than 130 years ago. until today.

The user public will find, when walking the platforms, old photographs grouped according to different concepts such as stations, rolling stock, railway personnel, users in the service, architectural changes, among others. In addition, you will be able to visit locomotive No. 27, a steam engine that is the oldest in operation in South America, and appreciate antique objects such as Edmondson tickets, a staff stick, a vintage telephone and a signal lantern.


Likewise, current photographs are presented that show the management of Metrovías, which since 1994 has contributed its expertise in railway management on the Urquiza Line that connects five municipalities of the AMBA, travels 27 kilometers and facilitates the mobility of thousands of people every day. . 92% of users evaluate the service positively, evidencing the high level of loyalty that exists towards this railway, motivated mainly by the quality, frequency and efficiency of the operation.
The exhibition was curated by professionals Ana Bonelli Zapata and Cecilia Gallardo, and has materials from the company’s own archive, the General Archive of the Nation, the National Railway Museum, the Argentine Ferroclub (CDP Villa Lynch) and the collaboration of the Edmondson Type Ticket Group.
The photographs that make up Travel in Time will be available until December 7 during the hours that the service is enabled, so that users and fans can appreciate them.
The objects and the locomotive will be on display until November 22, the latter can be visited from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
