FIFA confirmed that Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 World Cup

The FIFA confirmed that Saudi Arabia will host the World Cup 2034in what will be the second edition of this tournament in Middle East and the third in Asia.

The decision was confirmed in the FIFA Extraordinary Congress through its president, the Swiss Gianni Infantino.

This will be the third world cup in Asia after those carried out in Korea-Japan in 2002 and Qatar 2022 and the second in the Middle East.

During the presentation of this country as a candidate, audits were carried out that assigned Saudi Arabia a score of 4.2 out of 5.

The Asian country presented an ambitious project for the World Cup 2034which would have five cities as hosts: Riyadh, Jeddah, Jobar, Abha and Neomwith a total of 15 stadiums.

Saudi Arabia is showing enormous interest in the sport and this was demonstrated in the number of world soccer stars who bought the teams to fight for the league. Furthermore, they are in constant dialogue with the ATP to organize a Masters 1000 tennis tournament.

Argentina will host a 2030 World Cup match:

During this Extraordinary Congress it was also confirmed that Argentina will host, like Uruguay and Paraguay, a 2030 World Cup match.

However, the rest of the World Cup event will take place in Spain, Morocco and Portugal.
