The Democratic Progressive Party celebrated its 110 years

A group of leaders commemorated the event at the monument to Lisandro de la Torre, located in the City of Buenos Aires.

The Progressive Democratic party celebrated its 110th anniversary today with a large group of leaders and references from the districts of CABA, province of Buenos Aires and Jujuy, among others, who were present at the monument to Lisandro de la Torre, located in Diagonal North and Emerald.

The general secretary of the party, Oscar Moscariello, remembered the founder of the PDP and highlighted his ideology and ethical example. “Lisandro De la Torre’s pillars were based on democracy, liberalism and public ethics,” he highlighted. And he added: “He opposed corruption and advocated for transparency in public management.”

Furthermore, Moscariello reflected on the current situation in the country and maintained that Argentina is going through hours in which it embraces the ideas of freedom and fights to emerge from the deepest economic crisis to leave behind the dark pages of corruption. “The always living example of the struggles of Lisandro de la Torre keep us standing and present on this new anniversary, remembering his example and his words so alive and necessary for Argentina when he told us ‘someday civilization will be built on the truth.’ ‘”, he expressed.

César Torres, Secretary of Government and Citizen Link of the City, participated in the event; the national deputy Ricardo Lopez Murphy, and the party leaders Suárez San Martín, Julio Sorrentino, Carlos Quiroga and Juan Manuel Bensusan
