Drivers who must carry out the procedure in the Province of Buenos Aires must pay from December 1 the following amounts in accordance with the provisions:
- Vehicles up to 2500 kg: $53,819.26
- Vehicles over 2500 kg: $96,874.66
- Trailers, semi-trailers and trailers up to 2500 kg: $32,291.55
- Trailers, semi-trailers and trailers over 2500 kg: $48,437.33
- Motorcycles over 50cc and up to 200cc: $21,527.70
- Motorcycles over 200cc and up to 600cc: $32,291.55
- Motorcycles over 600cc: $43,055.41
Meanwhile, the verification for private cars in CABA has a value of $52,878.21while the cost for private motorcycles is $19,882.72.
Who should not pay the procedure?
Doing the VTV is mandatory for cars and motorcycles that exceed the four years oldfrom the month and year of patenting, or that exceed the 60,000 kilometers. Otherwise, you could get significant fines.
But there are specific groups that They will not have to pay to carry out this procedure:
- Vehicles intended for municipal services: Cars and trucks used exclusively for municipal public services do not have to pay the VTV, although they must undergo a technical inspection.
- Fire department units: Vehicles belonging to firefighters are exempt from paying the VTV cost, but must pass the mandatory technical inspection.
- Cars for people with disabilities: owners with a Single Certificate of Disability (CUD) are exempt from paying the VTV, although the technical inspection is still mandatory.
- Retirees, pensioners and people over 65 years of age: Holders who are retired, pensioned and receive up to two minimum retirement benefits, as well as those over 65 years of age who meet the income requirement, are also exempt from paying the procedure.

- Both sides of the vehicle’s green ID card.
- Ownership title of the car or motorcycle.
- Both sides of the holder’s ID.
- If it is a disabled person, the Single Certificate of Disability (CUD) must be presented.
- Retirees and pensioners must send proof of earnings.
