A bus accident left a balance of 38 dead in the early hours of this Saturday, due to a crash followed by fire andn the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil. It happened on route BR-116 and the driver lost control after an explosion in one of the tires.
The vehicle was carrying 45 passengers in total when The driver lost control of the steering after a tire burst. The man died at the scene and, according to firefighters, at least one of the victims is a child. A total of 25 bodies were burned, which according to authorities makes their identification difficult.

According to information from the Minas Gerais Military Police (PMMG)the vehicle entered the opposite lane and collided with a trailer loaded with blocks of stones. After the crash, the bus caught fire and went off the road.

Highway BR-116, a deadly road
Due to the accident, the road at kilometer 285 of BR-116 was completely closed. The PRF informed GLOBO that, around 10 a.m., the runway was partially freed through a wall system.
