The measure was made effective through the publication of the decree 1131/2024 in the Official Gazette, which established: “As of January 1, 2025 by virtue of the provisions of article 27 of the Law of Financial Administration and Control Systems of the National Public Sector No. 24,156 and its amendments, the provisions of Law No. 27,701 of the General Budget of the National Administration for the Fiscal Year 2023, its amending and complementary regulations, in force in accordance with the aforementioned article 27, in the terms of Decree No. 88 of December 26, 2023.”

In turn, the Government instructed the Chief of Staff, Guillermo Francosto “adjust, in a timely manner, the budget that is extended.”

“Given the progress of the 2024 Budget Year, It is not possible to define with immediacy and precision the adjustments referred to in article 27 of Law No. 27,701, which is why these will be carried out in a timely manner,” argued the Executive in the recital of the norm.
