This is the Saphirus firm that is building a production plant in West Florida, Vicente López. It also added a new line of cleaning products.

The Argentine company Saphirus, recognized for its wide range of products for home aromatization, is taking an important step in its history. With an estimated investment of US$1.2 million only for civil works, the company led by Cristian Iuliano began the construction of its first aerosol production plant in West Florida, Vicente López.

“It is an ambitious project, but necessary. We want to stop depending on outsourcing and bring the entire process to our facilities. This will not only give us greater control over quality, but also a productive capacity that accompanies our growth,” Iuliano explained in dialogue with Ámbito. The new plant will occupy part of a 33,000 square meter property that the company recently acquired and will be equipped with cutting-edge technology.

The construction of this establishment also reflects Saphirus’ commitment to its expansion and diversification plan. “We are investing in local machines and working with Argentine suppliers to develop a sustainable model,” the businessman highlighted. Currently, the production of aerosols is outsourced, but the The goal is for the plant to be operational in 2025, internalizing key processes.

Founded in 2010, Saphirus was born as a small office with outsourced production and grew to become a reference in the sector. “We started with automatic dispensers and then we ventured into consumables, which are aerosols,” Iuliano recalled. However, the road was full of obstacles. “The beginnings were complicated,” recalls the businessman. “We encountered many obstacles from the competition: they did not sell us packaging or supplies, and they even asked us to remove materials from outsourced plants.” However, these difficulties did not stop the entrepreneur. “Human beings tend to get stubborn when they are told no. “That was our driving force.”

Currently, the company has more than 250 direct employees and a product line that includes aerosols, textile fragrances and cleaning supplies.

One of the company’s key strategies was its commitment to marketing and the creation of its own category. “We managed to position aromatization products as more than just cleaning items,” says Iuliano. “We massify high-quality fragrances at affordable prices, something that the Argentine market knew how to value.”

Furthermore, the Saphirus jingle, along with a strong presence in the mass media, consolidated its brand in Argentine homes. “It was a risky bet, but effective. It helped us differentiate ourselves and reach a massive audience,” adds the firm’s leader.

Distributors and resellers

In addition to marketing, the company also innovated its business model by fostering an ecosystem of resellers. “We discovered it by chance,” he says. “We noticed that many people were buying our products to resell them. So, we decided to support that practice with professional catalogs and starter kits for entrepreneurs.”

Today, Saphirus has a commercial structure that includes more than 40,000 resellers and 34 exclusive stores. “Our goal is to reach 150 stores in 2025, an ambitious project that could mark a milestone in the industry,” says the businessman.

Finally, as for the future, Saphirus is preparing to diversify its product line. “We have begun to venture into home cleaning and we plan to expand our portfolio. We want to be a comprehensive brand”assures Iuliano.
