In the Moscow region, a man was accused of killing his beloved. This was announced on Wednesday, February 16, by the press service of the regional GSU of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
According to the investigation, the murder took place on February 14 in an apartment located in one of the residential buildings on Gagarin Street in Orekhovo-Zuyevo. A quarrel broke out between a 33-year-old man and his 47-year-old lover, during which he allegedly stabbed the woman in the neck. The victim died on the spot from her injuries, the Moscow news agency said.
The UK noted that, wanting to hide the traces of the crime, the man wrapped the body of the deceased in a blanket and took it to a ditch near Matrosov Street. His actions were recorded by an outdoor surveillance camera belonging to his neighbor, the 360 TV channel notes.
In addition, one of the neighbors noticed drops of blood in the entrance and reported this to the police. Investigators charged the suspect with murder. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime and showed the place where he took the body.
The criminal investigation is ongoing. Investigators are questioning witnesses and establishing details of what happened. In the near future, the investigation will petition for the arrest of the defendant.
On February 14, in the Vyborgsky district of the Leningrad region, a man was detained on suspicion of killing a girl and a young man.
On February 10, a double murder was reported in the north of Moscow. The regional Investigative Committee reported that the bodies of a man and a woman with signs of violent death in the form of stab wounds were found in the apartment of a residential building, and the body of another man with bodily injuries was found near the house.
