Honorary restorer of St. Petersburg Irina Voinova dies

Honorary restorer of St. Petersburg, I degree, Irina Voinova, died at the age of 67. This was reported on Wednesday, February 16, in the city Union of Restorers.

Irina Voinova was born in 1955 in the town of Velsk, Arkhangelsk Region. She made the decision to become an architect while still a schoolgirl.

After graduating from the Leningrad Civil Engineering Institute in 1979, Voinova came to work at the Spetsproektrestavratsiya Institute, where, together with a group of architectural and restoration workshops, she worked on the Old Ladoga St. Nicholas Cathedral, the 16th-century St. Nicholas Cathedral in Novaya Ladoga, and the Old Ladoga Fortress.

Since the early 2000s, Irina Voinova has worked for the restoration company Stroytechuslugi in St. Petersburg.

Her restoration work experience includes more than 40 years and about 100 cultural heritage sites, including the Holy Trinity Izmailovsky Cathedral in St. Petersburg and the Leuchtenbergsky Palace in the Sergievka estate in Old Peterhof.
