Peaceful celebration
Since the lido exists, it has been accompanied by (comprehensible) criticism – too loud, too hot and last weekend programmed musically “too young”. If you look at all of this without an emotional surge, but one thing becomes clear: it is also criticism at a high level. The Lido enriches Linz with a festival where tens of thousands can celebrate peacefully. Culture works exactly as the putty that it should work.
The Urfahranermarkt site also has an advantage for this: good public transport links. The port area, where many would like to see the Lido, certainly does not have it. The resentment of the residents due to volume is of course understandable. Ultimately, the festival is also the wrong addressee, the right one is the authorities who have also approved the Lido.

Unseal!
It is to be welcomed that Linz treats himself to a festival. However, it shouldn’t be that it takes place on the Urfahranermarkt site. This area should have long been sealed, here bees should hum and no basses. Trees have long since grown here – also in the sky, keyword “bathing bay” or “Central Park” – and recover people in the shade.
Wels has cleared, Innsbruck does it. And in Linz, this incredibly brilliant area has been a wasteland for decades. It is for hair.
But this is not the only reason why the Lido should move downstream. For the residents in the area, three days of noise in combination with a completely overheated area are a challenge – so as not to say imposition.
