A video appeared on social networks in which a scantily clad pensioner lies on the floor in a hospital in the Oryol region.
The video was made by the daughter of an elderly woman who made her way to a medical facility after the hospitalized parent did not get in touch for more than a day. According to the woman, her mother, who is a bedridden patient, fell from her hospital bed, but no one picked her up.
The day before, Lifedd reported that 65-year-old Nina Rykova was admitted to the regional hospital with inflammation of the intestines in a critical condition. A few days later, the pensioner stopped answering calls from relatives. They were not allowed into the hospital.
On January 4, the pensioner’s daughter sneaked into her mother’s room. As it turned out, an elderly woman, alone, lay half-dressed on the floor. According to her daughter, the pensioner spent more than a day in this position, because that was how long she did not answer the phone, which was lying on the nightstand.
According to the woman, no one apologized to her mother for such an attitude. It is noted that Rykova could not stand up on her own, as she recently suffered a coronavirus, which had a very strong impact on her health.
Upon the fact of the incident, the prosecutor’s office will check compliance with the legislation in the field of health protection in the Oryol Regional Clinical Hospital. The inaction of medical personnel will also be assessed.
Information about improper care will also be checked by the Russian Investigative Committee for the Oryol region. During it, all the circumstances of the incident will be established, the committee noted.
