A surveillance camera at the Tulskaya metro station on the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya metro line in Moscow filmed the moment of the attack on the police.
The footage shows a man in a red jacket attacking a police officer and knocking him to the ground. Then a second law enforcement officer appears in the frame, both law enforcement officers are trying to calm the offender. Later, one of the policemen is attacked by another man. In a jump, he kicks a law enforcement officer, then punches the policemen.
The incident happened on February 17th. Two passengers beat two police officers in response to a demand to undergo an identification procedure.
According to the investigation, one of the suspects categorically refused to the demands of the authorities to proceed to the police room to establish his identity, after which he began to push and wave his hands at the police officers. The second suspect kicked one policeman in the torso area, and another with several punches in the head area, after which he fled.
One of the suspects was detained on the spot, the search for the second continues.
A criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Use of violence against a representative of power”). Under this article, attackers face up to five years in prison.
