A shell hit a house on a farm in the Mityakinsky rural settlement in the Rostov region on the border with Ukraine. This was announced on February 19 by the administration of the Tarasovsky district.

“Mityakino settlement – there is no roof on the house. There are no victims, no one was hurt, ”TASS reports.

According to the interlocutor, the shells are coming from Ukraine.

Earlier that day, the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a case into the shelling of the Rostov region from the territory of Ukraine. According to the investigation, using a multiple launch rocket system, on February 19, attackers fired at the border areas of the Tarasovsky district of the Rostov region.

Also on Saturday, two artillery shells exploded in the Tarasovsky district of the Rostov region. Traces of two shells were found near the village of Mityakinskaya.

At the same time, the governor of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, decided to introduce a state of emergency in the region due to an increase in the number of refugees from the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) and the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

Eduard Basurin, a representative of the people’s militia of the DPR, said that the situation on the line of contact in Donbass remains critical. He added that the representative of Ukraine in the JCCC refuses to respond to the concerns of the People’s Republic and to take measures for a ceasefire by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Basurin also spoke about the plan for the offensive operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (APU) in the Donbass received by the DPR intelligence. According to him, the offensive is planned to start with an artillery strike. The operation will be implemented in three directions: the main attack Kramatorsk-Debaltseve, the Azov direction and the Lugansk direction.

According to intelligence, the Ukrainian security forces intend to destroy the military and civilian infrastructure of the self-proclaimed republics to a depth of 10-15 km from the line of contact.

The day before, on February 18, the heads of the LPR and DPR, Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin, announced that the authorities had begun to evacuate the inhabitants of the republics to Russia in connection with the shelling.

Since 2014, the Kiev authorities have been conducting a military operation against the inhabitants of Donbass, who refused to recognize the results of the coup d’état and the new government in Ukraine. At the same time, Kiev blames Moscow for the current situation. Russia has repeatedly stated that it is not a party to the intra-Ukrainian conflict. The issues of its settlement are being discussed in the Minsk and Normandy formats.
