Ask for the benefits of diversity, equity and inclusion is extremely interesting. Because contrary to what many people imagine, the practices that guarantee to put people in the center and their professional development have positive impacts for the business. A brief historical count. The generations of the 50. That is, in most cases the concern for well -being was left out.
But what is to think about well -being? In simple words, it is to understand that the part that is called personnel also matters. A person who does not feel comfortable in his work space or who brings from their family context anguishing situations should be heard and approached from that reality. In short, people matter far beyond their work performance, because it is understood that those who do not work in harmony with their environment end up choosing healthier spaces to develop.
Now, although this paradigm has been changing, it is not a linear or much less homogeneous for all Latin American organizations. However, there are anonymous, genuine, group and even economic efforts that deserve to be recognized. There are many organizations that understand that the retention of young talent of the next generations will have to do with how these people feel and recognized by their leaders and peers. That a company looks in future perspective its business with these demands in hand is strategic. For example, by 2030, millennial generations (born between 1983 and 1994) and generation Z (born between 1995 and 2006) are expected to represent approximately 74% of the global workforce (Deloitte 2025). In short, these generations know that working happy, comfortable and with good treatment is not negotiable.
It is crucial that we begin to give visibility to those good practices that are being implemented today and that positively impact on the improvement of labor well -being rates, which is not more or less than: to ensure that people can be incorporated far beyond organizational biases, that work violence is prevented and addressed in a correct way, that in communications there is an inclusion from language and their representations, that there is a genuine commitment, that there is a genuine commitment and Sustainable over time with policies in relation to this agenda, that these changes reach the entire organization and even the entire value chain and communities.
Grow- Gender and work understands that this systematization cannot be a subjective process or crossed by personal opinions. From his experience in accompaniment to organizations, he designed a methodology of analysis and evaluation that will allow selecting those practices that may account that they understand the problem, which they plan for their solution and measure the impact.
For that, the Grow Awardsto distinguish Latin America organizations that want to postulate their best experiences. A jury composed of experts throughout the region, and together with the SMS audit, guarantee transparency and good use of this tool. The objective is to make visible and share the best practices to improve the life and development of people in their work environments while meeting the needs of each business or mission.
Today, more than ever, we must meet the needs that socio -economic contexts already raise the challenges that organizations have to project in the long term.
That is why we believe that betting to have humanized, understandable areas, with good communication and with excellent conflict management, guarantees attracting and retaining the best talent. Because we know that all people want to work in a place where we can be who we are. Hugging diversity, equity and inclusion is undoubtedly looking at the peculiarities to build the work spaces of the future, where collaborating people win and win the business.
