An-26 aircraft crashed in the Voronezh region

The An-26 aircraft, while performing a planned flight to transport military equipment, crashed in the Voronezh region, as was reported on Thursday, February 24, in the Western Military District (ZVO). As a result of the crash, the crew of the aircraft died.

“On February 24, in the Voronezh region, during a planned flight to transport military equipment, an An-26 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces crashed. The crew died,” the Russian military said.

The preliminary cause of the accident was called equipment failure.

“There is no destruction on earth. According to preliminary information, the failure of equipment became the cause of the accident, ”the press service of the Western Military District noted.

The press service specified that a commission of the Aerospace Forces was sent to the scene of the accident to establish the causes and circumstances of the accident.

Earlier, on February 11, it was reported that the An-2 plane crashed in Kamchatka. Two crew members were killed.

A private light aircraft was transporting cargo to the village of Tymlat in the Karaginsky municipal district. Firefighters arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire.
