Tour operators announced their readiness to take Russians out of abroad

At the moment, over 150 thousand Russian tourists can be abroad, and in areas where there are now problems with the departure of tourists to Russia (Europe, the Caribbean countries, the USA) – more than 27 thousand, Izvestia was told in the Association of Tour Operators of Russia ( ATOR).

At least two major tour operators – Anex Tour and Intourist – take their tourists from abroad on their own, Izvestia learned.

“We [застрявших за рубежом] tourists are taken out through Istanbul. How many of them it is difficult to count. By law, we are obliged to take out those tourists who have purchased a package tour from us, ”the Intourist said.

The press service of Anex Tour told Izvestia that the tour operator no longer had stranded tourists abroad.

“For tourists who were vacationing in Bulgaria with a return in the coming days, we bought tickets with a transfer in Istanbul, so everything is in order. We don’t have anyone in other European countries,” they said.

Anex Tour added that the situation in Turkey, Egypt, the Maldives, and Vietnam is normal. At the same time, as of today, the importation of tourists to the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Mexico has been suspended. Until March 28, there will be only scheduled export flights.

Earlier, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) made a statement that Russian tour operators alone cannot cope with the export of all tourists from abroad – they will need help from regulators, Rostourism and the Ministry of Transport of Russia.
