Senior police lieutenant Viktor Gerasimov, an employee of the criminal investigation department, noticed a fire in a neighbor’s apartment and managed to pull the man out of the fire in time. This was reported by representatives of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory on the official website on Tuesday, March 1.
According to Gerasimov, the night before he was in his apartment when he smelled burning. “I went out to the site, saw clouds of smoke from under the door, started knocking, no one opened,” the policeman said.
The man reported the fire to the duty unit and helped organize the evacuation of the rest of the residents of the high-rise building. After that, he returned to the smoky apartment.
“I realized that someone is in the apartment, walked into the room. I heard that my neighbor was coughing. I found it on the floor, pulled it out into the entrance. Then firefighters arrived, extinguished the apartment, ”Victor shared.
No one was injured as a result of the fire.
Earlier, on February 24, four residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory died during a fire in a construction trailer, three more were injured.
