In Moscow, a detachment of the Russian Guard detained a man suspected of drug trafficking. This was announced on Tuesday, March 1, by the press service of the department’s metropolitan department.
The suspect was detained on Nakhimovsky Prospekt, when private security officers during patrol noticed a man who hid something in the snow. At the sight of the car of the National Guard, he tried to hide, but was caught, according to the city news agency Moskva.
In a conversation with law enforcement officers, the 38-year-old suspect was confused in the answers, but soon admitted that he was carrying banned substances. More than 200 sachets containing 230 g of mephedrone were seized from the men’s backpack. The suspect also said that another part of the bundles is stored in his apartment.
The man was handed over to the police for further investigation.
Earlier in February, Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev announced that a large channel for the supply of heroin to the regions of Russia was blocked, 19 defendants were detained. As a result of the complex of measures taken, the activities of the interethnic criminal community, which consisted of four structural divisions, were suppressed.
