Nearly 600 miners evacuated from Raspadskaya mine due to smoke

Almost 600 miners were evacuated from the Raspadskaya mine in the Kemerovo region on March 2. The cause was a fan stop caused by a short circuit.

There was smoke in the mine building at Raspadskaya. At the moment, the outbreak has been eliminated by the fire service that arrived at the area. It was localized before the start of gassing of mine workings. Aerogas conditions are also normal.

“After a short circuit, the main fan stopped at the Raspadskaya mine in Mezhdurechensk,” the press service of the coal company told RIA Novosti.

According to preliminary data, the electrical wiring in the utility room became the focus. Specialists are already conducting a survey of the building, while Raspadskaya is still being ventilated by other similar installations. None of the miners were hurt.

In the Kemerovo region in the city of Leninsk-Kuznetsky, on January 22, the work of the Komsomolets mine was suspended. On January 18, it became known that regulators will discuss the issue of early revocation of the license for subsoil use at the Listvyazhnaya mine in the Kemerovo region, as the inspections revealed cases of non-compliance with coal production standards at the mine.

The accident at the mine occurred on November 25 last year. As a result, 51 people died, including five rescuers. Another 58 people were hospitalized. In total, there were 285 people in the mine.
