Access and Autonomy Project for people with disabilities

Access and Autonomy Project for people with disabilities

For this reason, Access and Autonomy is a project that was born from the networks as a new form of contact with society, particularly with those who have some type of disability and/or relatives of people with disabilities, friends, teachers, everyone those that are linked to the field of disability.

In their networks you can find publications with inclusive language and images that help people with some cognitive difficulty to learn about their rights and obligations within the Argentine legal system. This allows society to be educated regarding, for example, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its important incorporation for Argentina. Likewise, publications have been prepared where the different local laws are enunciated and explained, as well as the cases that are being resolved by the courts and that are of interest to the group, which have a direct impact on access to tax reductions, education free, obligation of coverage by health agents, among others.

In the Instagram social network @AccesoyAutonomia, as well as on Facebook and Youtube, also AccesoyAutonomia, you can find the different interviews carried out with references on the subject, such as Lic. Mabel Remón, Director of ADAJUS, Dr. Fernando Galarraga, Director of the AGND, Lic. Mariana Altamirano, Director of the UCA Training Program for people with disabilities. There, it seeks to understand the challenges or social barriers that people with disabilities and their families encounter and how the referents of these institutions offer adjustment alternatives so that day by day there is more inclusion. Access and Autonomy seeks to publicize these devices and reflect on how you can be part of the change towards a fairer and more inclusive society.

The project also has an email address to receive questions or queries in order to guide people with disabilities, the email is accesoyautonomia@uca.edu.ar or accesoyautonomia@gmail.com
