Digital transformation and automation is advancing at an unprecedented rate. Today, 1 in 3 companies plan to invest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) or machine learning (machine learning) during the next year. Accelerating automation at scale, fueled by 5G connectivity, will empower people, transform industries and spur increased productivity. Argentina is no stranger to this phenomenon: 45% of companies in our country are accelerating their digitization and automation as a result of the pandemic.
Paradoxically, as technology becomes more accessible, a new challenge is emerging for organizations: digital adoption. Organizations need to evolve their workforce to ensure that people have the necessary skills to quickly incorporate technological change and are also prepared to navigate times of disruption. So Soft skills such as communication, prioritization, adaptability, initiative, integrity, analytical thinking, among others, are becoming more and more relevant.
At the same time, the Human Capital areas are testing new face-to-face modalities with the aim of recovering aspects of the organizational culture that were weakened during two years of forced virtuality.
In return, the offer also changed their expectations in relation to employment. One in three people want to work in fully remote environments, and when it comes to mixed models, four in ten employees want to decide on days they can work from home, start and end times, and have the power to change them periodically. Concern for health is another of the legacies left by COVID-19, especially after suffering the stress caused by so many months of confinement. 25% of people look for jobs that include benefits to care for their children or a family member and half of the workers are willing to change jobs to improve their well-being.
Finally, more than ever, people want to work in companies that give them a “purpose.” 75% of people want to feel motivated and passionate about what they do and two out of three want to work in companies that have a positive impact on society.
The companies that obtain the best results will be those that manage to harmonize the organizational needs with the new expectations of talent, designing policies, plans and strategies that allow the corporate culture to adapt to a more digital world, socially committed and where talent will be the most valuable asset. scarce.
