Crash in Palermo: death at the wheel, can it be avoided?

A businessman once said that the power is impunity. This phrase contains all the evils that a coexistence can have.

Impunity is “I am the law”, “nothing and no one is going to tell me how to proceed”.

There is a culture of frivolity with narcissistic characteristics, “where only I matter.”

For these narcissists, society is here to serve them.

This culture is formed over time, from the media, through individualistic proposals and celebrities with their image where happiness lies simply in doing “what is sung to me”.

All the praise and recognition shown through the media are people who triumph over the rest of society. Nothing to do something for someone.

The consequences of this culture of frivolity and individualism are to act without considering the rest of society.

This philosophy, when spilling over society, produces “Everything goes if it benefits me.”

Driving without thinking that I can kill someone, not getting vaccinated, contempt for those who think differently, wishing for death, everything is part of the same thing. “First me, second me and third me”Thus, “I am the owner of the truth”.

Living without thinking of others, that seems to be the watchword. At best, if it suits me, pretend I care. Meanwhile I drive drunk, insult and curse everyone who crosses my path.

We must identify this individualistic, narcissistic, frivolous culture that causes tragedies and confront it with a caring, understanding culture where happiness lies in feeling good because we recognize ourselves as part of the same society.

Today several families cry, tomorrow others will suffer the same again, meanwhile we will continue to hear speeches of contempt and disqualification on television.
