Most successful scalability strategies
When identifying the processes with the greatest potential, the most effective solutions in terms of scalability are those oriented to the client. In fact, in Latin America, according to the study “The keys to scaling digital value” commissioned by Google Cloud to the consulting firm BCG, almost 30% of organizations chose to scale customer-oriented solutions over those related to operations and company (24% each). A key concept comes into play here, which is the personalization of the customer experience, a strategy that, accompanied by exhaustive and efficient data processing, can generate revenue growth through consumer loyalty and satisfaction.
For example, in Argentina, we worked side by side with a health service provider in the implementation of solutions for telemedicine, developing an agile platform for medical care. The main objective is to reduce waiting times and facilitate the monitoring of cases and medical records with a focus on accessibility, integrating mobile and web applications to ensure quality of care through a robust ecosystem of tools.
In this sense, the intelligent use of data is one of the fundamental pillars of digital maturity. In particular, “frontline data” really makes a difference: it is the data that comes directly from users and provides information on how they interact with the company. Thus, issues such as browsing behavior, transaction history and loyalty programs provide relevant and quality information throughout the consumer’s purchase path. The study mentioned above reveals that in our region almost 50% of leaders use frontline data to obtain insights that allow them to create value propositions for their clients.
Cloud as enabler
When driving the scalability of digital solutions and harnessing the full power of data, the cloud is the technology foundation. And specifically for these projects, the multicloud approach is usually the most recommended, since it offers a series of relevant advantages such as greater agility, flexibility and higher rates of innovation. In addition, it provides the ability to implement state-of-the-art technology, integrating the benefits of platforms from various providers.
The path of digitalization is already a reality for companies of all sizes and various industries. At a trend level, the study concludes that by 2025 up to 60% of consumer-facing applications and nearly 40% of data storage and analytics silos will run on public clouds operated by major technology organizations.
The strategy to scale processes and upload to the cloud must be a joint work project between the cloud provider and the client, focused on the objectives and needs of each organization. The opportunities that arise are very great for businesses and to achieve it, it is only necessary to take the first step towards this transformation.
