Since September interest for tax debts increases

Thus, the compensatory interest rate (compensation to the Treasury to be paid outside the deadlines) goes from the current one (ruling until 8/31) 4.25% per month to 5.91%, while the punitive interest (which applies to debts whose collection is judicially pursued) it rises from 5.19% to 7.37% per month. Both one and the other projected annually show a significant increase.

The applicable interest rates are maintained when the obligations in question are expressed in US dollars or must be paid according to the amount of categories or other similar concepts in force at the date of effective payment, basically in customs obligations. In these cases, the rates will be 0.83% (compensation) and 1% per month (punitive).

In cases of repetition of taxes, return, reimbursement or compensation, that is, when it is due to credits in favor of the taxpayer, the rate remains unchanged at 3.84% per month. The concepts expressed in US dollars will have a monthly interest of 0.20%.

It should be remembered that to determine the daily interest, the respective percentage must be divided by 30.

For the cancellation of the obligations whose expiration would have operated before the date of entry into force of this resolution, the current regimes must be applied during each one of the periods that they reach.
