Much ado about nothing
Is summer time better than winter time? Who suffers the most from getting up an hour earlier or later? And do we need a rule that always applies? The discussion about the topic of time change is idle. There hasn’t been any new input for years, arguments are rattled off like a prayer wheel. It’s frustrating.
We are currently experiencing a dance on the volcano, with topics such as inflation, the climate crisis and war flying around our ears. If you want to get angry, worry or argue, you have plenty of material to do so. I can’t bear to feel sorry for myself because there might be an hour of sunshine in the morning instead of in the afternoon. Therefore: end the debate!

light and shadow
First things first: I always look forward to the time change. However, only if the clocks are put forward by one hour to daylight saving time. The next time is on March 26, 2023. The fact that I was granted an hour less sleep as a result is made up for by the anticipation of longer days again. After all, is there anything nicer than being able to go running without a headlamp after the office? Not for me!
The unpleasant side is that I also have to accept the changeover to winter time. But I will accept this again this year, true to the motto “Without shadow there is no light” – and I’ll be happy about the hour I’ve gained in bed.
