An SME in Argentina invests 24 hours a day. And these are investments that stay in our country. We generate more than 70% of the work. But to think about reinvesting, opening a new pharmacy, it is necessary for the macroeconomy to get in order. And that, unfortunately, is far from being achieved.
The lack of foreign currency in the Central Bank creates a trap to avoid default. The stocks, at the same time, complicates imports. These imports are handled with dollars that change with changed rules from one day to the next to put out fires.
In the midst of so much disorder, there are always those who take advantage. There are so many quotes that later this leads to price dispersion. The dispersion, added to an inflationary spiral, further complicates normal work with suppliers. Keep in mind that we naturalized to live with more than 50% annual inflation since 2018. It’s been like this for almost 5 years. The price increase does not suit anyone. Neither to the consumer nor to the SME.
Believing that inflation is positive for those who sell pharmaceutical products is wrong. This lack of price control leads to a lack of control throughout the production chain. When to hire a new employee? When is it convenient to expand production? The answer is that there is never an ideal time. However, the effort is still worth it. SMEs do not know about financial speculation. SMEs know how to produce.
To advance in a project that promotes production and not speculation, that provides the Argentine financial system with a legal framework according to the needs of clients.. We are facing a scenario in permanent dynamism, where SMEs have a leading role and an enormous responsibility in sustaining the national framework. Entrepreneurs need predictability, public policies that target and benefit the national industry and the development of regional economies.
For this reason, although sometimes it sounds like a set phrase, the only thing that the businessman asks is that they do not complicate the investment. They no longer ask for help, but just don’t make the job more difficult. To live.
