Impact can be achieved either through regulation or awareness raising. The former can be put into effect immediately with an appointment. The latter is a longer-term process in which role models play a significant role. Ordinary people will only show environmentally conscious understanding and change themselves if they are shown appropriate behavior. Without role models, it can only come down to regulations if we want to achieve something.
Unfortunately, the forthcoming January rally is not a positive example.
