Real Estate: investing in the US in an inflationary period is still a good business

Clearly, the volatility of the global macroeconomic context, added to a region –Latin America–, which continues to be involved in an uncertain economic scenario, favors the arrival of investments in the real estate sector in the United States.

How to beat inflation?

Investing in properties that offer an attractive return and above the country’s inflation is a more than advisable alternative for any Latin American investor. Why? Because it is one of the safest options and chosen by savers to multiply their capital, since the real estate business allows generating operations of physical assets with a quick return on investment in dollars.

Real Estate projects to invest

Land purchase and development:

A new business model that we are resuming is the purchase of land, especially in the state of New York, and its subsequent development. This takes shape based on the contribution of medium and large investors, sometimes from the crowdfundingwhere several investors put a certain amount of money into the project, and get the percentage participation corresponding to it.

Hotels:

An additional alternative for medium and large investors is to participate with a large amount, together with other investors, in the acquisition and development of a hotel, which may be possible in several states such as Georgia, Virginia, and Florida. The subsequent exit in terms of business may be to keep the hotel functional and manage it, or sell it renovated again and take advantage of its capitalization.

Condo-Hotels:

The condo-hotel enters the discussion as an ideal option for small or medium investors, since individual or bulk units can be purchased in states such as Georgia and Florida. The benefits are various, but the most prominent are the possibility of having a property title in the United States for less than $60,000, having a company manage your unit, and receiving a quarterly return in dollars.

Condo-Offices- small and large investors:

Similar to condo-hotels, condo-offices make it possible to acquire an individual unit in an office space, where the common areas are shared between the different co-owners. As in condo-hotels, there is an association and management company that is in charge of maintenance and expenses.

Apartments or Houses:

Another option for medium and large investors is to buy a house or an apartment. As in the previously mentioned alternatives, a property title is obtained, but the investment is greater. It can be rented, short or long term, or wait for its capitalization, especially considering the strength of the real estate market in a country like the United States.

Eb5- large investors:

For very large investors, and with a desire to potentially obtain a green card (the US residence), a large amount of money can be invested in an EB5 Visa program, which in turn generates employment in the northern country.
