The federal ÖVP is incompetent in the asylum issue. Ex-Chancellor Kurz’s show policy was followed by an asylum rush in 2022 with exploding numbers. The statistics are garnished with riots by a migrant mob on Halloween in Linz. As long as Austria takes part in the European asylum carousel, nothing will change. It is high time that those responsible in Vienna recognized that they had to break new ground!
