Interior Minister Karner is not ready for any clarifying talks, so the question arises: Can’t he or is he too cowardly? The mayors Aigner and Andreas Babler (Traiskirchen) are probably among the experts in matters of asylum, but they don’t seem to be asked in principle!
In his terminology for asylum seekers, Karner only knows “tents, deport – lock away”. He does not understand the language of the people and due to his academic education he is not ready to face the quite emotional discourse with the affected mayors, let alone the local citizens!
