A 41-year-old Iraqi allegedly went mad out of jealousy. His escape became a trail of devastation far too long. The details known so far are once again so appalling and shocking that I don’t want to go into them again. They are still too heavy in my stomach.
It doesn’t matter where. It can happen anywhere. Unfortunately, at any time in any European country. And every time, the bewilderment spreads in me at the beginning. Followed by worry and anger. Then my thoughts inevitably keep spinning. Not again not a blank slate. Not another ongoing asylum application instead of immediate deportation. Despite dangerous threats, coercion and physical harm. Not again these unfounded political phrases and empty promises that I haven’t been able to hear for a very long time.
It doesn’t matter whether it’s a pandemic, war or asylum. Any irresponsible and grossly negligent politics makes my stomach churn and certainly doesn’t make me vote for any of the established parties!
