Whether this has to do with the lack of faith in God or the action (or non-action) of the church is an open question. The general observation, however, could lead to the conclusion that the church has distanced itself from God, and not only that: the church has disenfranchised God – it determines (and it has learned this perfectly in 2000 years) what belief is and God has nothing left to say.
