We already live in crazy times: If you used to be praised for speaking out for the peaceful resolution of conflicts, it’s very different today. If, for example, like Foreign Minister Schallenberg, you only very quietly mention a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine war, the united front of warmongers and weapons enthusiasts immediately attack you verbally, and you are even publicly placed in the vicinity of a “Putin friend”.
The German Greens are among the biggest supporters of an intensification of the war. But peace is obviously something of the past: Not even Franz Klammer was on the Streif as quickly as principles are thrown overboard and reversed nowadays. From Paul to Saul is the motto in “woken” times, not only when it comes to war.
People all over Europe are paying the price, those in the war zones often even with their lives. Who can stop this madness?
