What offer could Europe and Ukraine make that would persuade Putin to abandon his plan? I can’t think of one unless it’s given coveted territory in Ukraine. That would be an encouragement to reach out to other neighboring states and former Soviet republics.
Aren’t the “pacifists” a bit too naive? The thesis that the Americans are responsible for the conflict and the real winners is so absurd that I would immediately assign it to the collected stories and fairy tales of conspiracy theorists.
